1405-F TEOM™ continuous fine dust mass measuring instrument
The Thermo Scientific™ 1405-F TEOM™ continuously measures the fine dust mass of e.g. PM10-, PM2,5- or PM1 depending on the selected inlet. The 1405-F TEOM™ uses the Tapered Element Oscillating Microbalance (TEOM) method and the Filter Dynamics Measurement System (FDMS) to perform measurements with excellent short-term accuracy, taking into account volatile and non-volatile particulate matter components.
The 1405-F TEOM Monitor consists of a Filter Dynamics Measurement System (FDMS) and a TEOM mass sensor in a compact package and a networked configuration that includes a touch screen user interface control system. The 1405-F TEOM differs from other PM measurement methods in that it uses the principle of direct mass measurement, which is not subject to the measurement fluctuations of older measurement techniques. It provides a self-referencing, NIST-traceable true mass measurement.
