The MultiRAE range of detectors (Lite, Normal and Pro models) includes the first portable wireless multi-danger monitors for industrial applications. These combine the continuous measurement of gamma rays, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) down to the ppb range, toxic and combustible gases and oxygen with a dead man alarm function in a portable device. The MultiRAE can be configured with up to 6 of a total of 33 different intelligent sensors (including ppb and ppm PID, NDIR and less common toxic sensors such as ammonia, chlorine, formaldehyde and phosgene, among others) to cover all requirements for hazardous goods applications, personal protection, access to closed containers, sewers, shafts and trenches, occupational hygiene and leak detection.
The monitor has the largest display and longest battery life in its class. It also has an ergonomically shaped housing that is stable, dustproof and waterproof (IP-65 / IP-67). The design with separate compartments allows very easy replacement of sensors, pump and battery even on the measuring station.
Integrated into the RAE Systems wireless network, the MultiRAE Security Manager allows wireless viewing of the device display and alarm status in real time. This enables better monitoring and faster response time. With its comprehensive alarms, MultiRAE reliably alerts the user, nearby people and the security officer about the detection of a dangerous atmosphere or an injured person.
